Thermometer

Tells you your exact body temperature — fever or hypothermia.

tooldiagnosis

What it does

treatment
  • Shows your current body temperature
  • Confirms a fever from an infection
  • Confirms hypothermia before it becomes fatal

When to use it

  • You suspect a fever but are not sure
  • After a long swim or a night in the rain
  • To tell hypothermia apart from influenza

What it does NOT treat

warning
  • Anything — it is purely diagnostic
  • The cold itself; you need a fire for that

Important notes

  • Reusable
  • The only way to confirm a fever rather than guess at it

Disease
