When to use it

  • Before giving or receiving any blood bag
  • On a new character, so you know your type in advance
  • On every member of a group before a firefight

What it does NOT treat

warning
  • Anything — it is a diagnostic tool, not a treatment
  • An already-started hemolytic reaction

Important notes

  • Single use
  • O negative is the universal donor, AB positive the universal recipient
  • Skipping this step is the most common cause of a hemolytic reaction
