  • Sterile, so it will not cause a wound infection
  • Can also be used to build a splint

When to use it

  • The instant you see the bleeding indicator
  • Before anything else — bleeding out is faster than any disease
  • On a teammate before waking them with epinephrine

What it does NOT treat

  • A broken leg
  • An infection that has already started
  • Blood you have already lost — that needs saline or a blood bag

Important notes

  • One bandage stops one wound; multiple hits need multiple bandages
  • Rags work too but must be disinfected first
  • Carry more than you think you need
