Simple Fishing Rod

Required items

  • 1xLong Wooden Stick
  • 1xRopeCraftable

Steps

  1. 1Combine a long wooden stick with rope to build the rod
  2. 2Attach a hook to the finished rod
  3. 3Attach bait to the hook, then fish at a water source

Attached afterwards

Fishing Hook or Bone Fishing HookBait attached to the hook

These attach to the finished item — they are not used up making it.

Useful notes

  • The hook is attached to the rod, not consumed while crafting it
  • The rod and hook can break — carry spare hooks
  • Fish must still be filleted with a knife and cooked

Why it matters

Once you can fish, you never starve again. The best skill after fire.
