Steps

  1. 1Craft the Fence Kit, then place and confirm it
  2. 2Dig the base, add the log frames, then the plank panels
  3. 3Add a combination lock if you want a lockable gate

Build stages

  • Combine two short sticks with rope to make the Fence Kit
2Base
  • toolShovel, pickaxe or similar digging tool
  • Place and confirm the kit, then dig in the base
3Frames
  • 2xWooden Log
  • toolHammer or hatchet
  • Add the log frames to the dug base
4Panels
  • 18xWooden Plank
  • 36xNail
  • toolHammer or hatchet
  • Attach plank panels to the frames

Useful notes

  • Metal Wire plus Pliers converts a fence into a gate
  • Sheet Metal can be used instead of wooden panelling
  • Fences can be dismantled by other players given enough time and tools
  • Write your lock combination down somewhere outside the game
